This is a statement of my policies toward the personal data I collect on this website.  I am not a lawyer.

COMMENTS: When you comment on a post for the first time, I require your name and email address in order to approve your comments. This information is stored in a WordPress application so that when you make future comments, you will not have to wait for me to approve them.  Your public comments are stored and displayed on the website.

CONTACT: When you use the contact form, I require your email address and name so that I can reply to you. Your message is not stored in the website; it goes directly to an email account controlled by me.

SUBSCRIPTION: When you sign up for my email newsletter, I require your email address and name so that I can send it to you. I also ask for your country so that I can be in compliance with applicable privacy laws.  This information is stored in my account with Mailchimp (mailchimp.com). You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link toward the bottom of the newsletter.

GENERAL:  I do not share your personal information with third parties, except as required by law.
